Who Can Buy ElecTrike

Our target markets are nationwide. Urban and Rural communities have different mobility needs and we recognise that transport is a major problem, in terms of availability, regularity, and affordability.

Transport regulations are being written for the replacement of current, polluting, unhealthy, petrol and diesel tricycles. In Manila City, Quezon City, and Pasig the Department of Energy and the LGU have purchased and provided e-trikes to local operators. Repayment is covered by a boundary system – daily rental fee. E-Trikes are no longer directly purchased by the Department of Energy, and less so by LGU’s. However, these departments are fundamental to the endorsement of e-trikes as a replacement for the current tricycles and community wellbeing through sustained clean air.

  1. The TODA (Tricycle Operators & Drivers Association) operate in defined domestic geographical boundaries and are regulated by the LGU.

  2. The TODA is set up to organise and manage the operation for its transport fleet.

  3. A TODA may have anything between 30 & 900 units operating under its LGU jurisdiction.
